Srinagar:- Brainpreneurs Child Development Center Srinagar organized an event on 3rd December 2023 at Royal Heritage Towers Karan Nagar.
The theme of the event was “Transformative Solutions For Inclusive Development”.
We were honoured to have Dr. Sushil Razdan (renowned neurologist), Dr. Tariq Ahmad Bhat (Chairman International Islamic School Srinagar), Mr.Malik Abrar Altaf (Chief of Program Operations at ELFA International) Ms.Somia Rashid (Clinical Psychologist), Dr. Seerat Nabi (Physiotherapist) as our panelists.Dr. Zubaid Malik (Physiotherapist) The Chief guest of the event was Mr.Suhaib Bashir (Deputy Manager SBI bank).
It was wonderful to have Ms.Flouri Madam (Chairman The Good Shepherd Mission School Pulwama) as one of our guests as well as speaker.
Ms. Sunaina Tickoo (CEO Brainpreneurs CDC) as the host as well as speaker at the event.
We are really thankful to Ms.Raisul Nisa (Hr. Admin Head) Brainpreneurs Mr. Obaid Ahmad Bhat (Center head) and all the staff members of Cdc.. also the parents associated with CDC Srinagar for having come for the event and for sharing their experiences , the whole team of CDC Srinagar for their presence and commendable work.
The panel discussion was knowledgeable and interactive with all the dignitaries as well as the parents speaking their hearts out and discussing things such as why inclusion is important.
How we as a society need to change our thinking if we see someone with special needs. We as a society have to be more accommodative and understanding to treat everyone as equal. Parents also talked about how their kid with special needs are compared with other kids every time by the society and the parents are pushed down and their kid not seen in the same scale with kids that the society calls “Normal”.
The open discussion also talked about inclusive education to all and how schools, hospitals, offices and other institutions should be ready to accommodate kids with special needs.
The CDC family always believes in bringing a change in the society and we look forward to having more such interactive and knowledgeable sessions in the near future. We would like to thank everyone for coming and making this event a success.
