Srinagar, Dec 07:- In a groundbreaking initiative, officials from leading blood units across various hospitals of Directorate of Health Services of Kashmir were facilitated at DHSK office Srinagar.

This collaborative effort was aimed to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and ultimately improve the overall impact of blood collection and consumption programs to save every life.

Representatives from top-performing blood units of hospitals shared insights into their successful strategies, emphasizing the importance of community engagement, innovative outreach programs, and advanced technology integration.

Participants discussed the challenges they faced and how they overcame them, fostering an environment of mutual support and knowledge-sharing.

Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather put emphasis on the cooperation of nearby hospitals so that blood from other hospital must be arranged if it is not available at one but every effort must be taken to save life of everyone whose over is visiting hospital.

He directed concerned officials to keep blood available round the clock for the patients so that they won’t face any kind of problems.

Highlighting the need for a collaborative approach, the director emphasized that seamless cooperation among health professionals is essential to ensure efficient service delivery and the well-being of the community. The directive comes as part of ongoing efforts to streamline healthcare processes and enhance the overall healthcare experience for patients.

The top performing blood units from April 2022- March 2023 were DH Handwara, followed by SDH Kupwara and DH Kulgam
