Srinagar, Mar 27 (KS) :In a tragic incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Reshipora area of South Kashmir Shopian district on Wednesday, officials said.
They told news agency Kashmir Scroll that the CRPF jawan, serving with the 178th Battalion in Reshipora Shopian shot himself dead with his service rifle this morning.
They said that the body of the CRPF trooper was swiftly shifted to the nearest hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the matter.-[KS]
