Shia scholar visits Fire ravaged institute in Anantnag, expresses solidarity

Prominent Shia cleric, Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari of Itehad ul Muslimeen, Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday visited Idara Tehqiqat e Islami to express solidarity.

Moulana Masroor Ansari received a warm welcome at the Idara from the management and students of the institute that was gutted in fire last week, causing a damage of several lakhs.

Masoor speaking to the students and management of Idara Tehqiqat said that the Shia community stands with the oldest Sunni school in Kashmir in this moment of grief.

“Both Itehad ul Muslimeen and Idara Tehqiqat e Islami have been torch bearers of unity among Muslims and even today, we seek unity among Kashmiri Muslims to address the larger problems that we face as muslims,” Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari said.

He visited the library that had been gutted in the fire incident and said that Shia Muslims have been grieved over the burning of the library. “Such treasure is rare and cannot be built again. It is sad that such a treasure was lost to a devastating fire,” he said addressing the students here.

Moulana offered full assistance to the management of Idara Tehqiqat e Islami and said the Shia community of Kashmir is ready to offer any sort of assistance required.
