Pulwama: In a proactive initiative towards child protection, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Tral, organized an awareness program on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012. The session aimed to educate community members on crucial legal provisions safeguarding children from sexual abuse.The program, held on Monday, featured S. Sunpreet Singh, a student pursuing B.A LLB (Hons.) at Jammu University, as the resource person. Singh provided valuable insights into the legal framework of the POCSO Act 2012, highlighting its significance in combating crimes against minors.Participants expressed appreciation for the informative session, acknowledging the importance of such initiatives in raising awareness and promoting child safety.
