Srinagar, Aug 11 (KS): The ongoing operation in Ahlan Kokarnag has seen the death toll rise to three, including two soldiers and one civilian who succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased soldiers have been identified as Havildar Dipak Kumar Yadav and Lance Naik Praveen Sharma.
The operation, which is taking place in a challenging terrain, has communication difficulties as nearest motorable area Ahlan is 19 km from encounter spot making it hard for the security forces to coordinate efforts.
Despite these challenges, a massive search operation is underway to track down and apprehend the terrorists hiding in the area.
Security forces are determined to bring the situation under control and ensure the safety of civilians in the area.—(KS)
