Srinagar, 12 Aug (KS): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, has directed all officers to wear a consistent and proper uniform.
In an order released today, the IGP as per News agency Kashmir Scroll said “It has been observed that police officers/ officials performing duties are wearing different patterns of uniforms items viz T-shirts beret cap, shoes etc which is against uniform pattern of police department besides presents bad impression as well.”
The matter has been viewed seriously by senior officers and needs to be complied.
In view of the above, it is enjoined up on all supervisory officers that the officers/ officials working under your command and control shall wear proper uniform.
Any deviation into the matter shall be viewed seriously, he added.
