Pulwama, 22 Aug(KS): Former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Rajpora Syed Basheer Ahmad is likely to rejoin the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and is expected to be the party’s candidate for the Rajpora constituency, Sources said.
Sources said that he met party president today. This re-entry marks a significant “Ghar Wapsi” for Basheer, who has previously distanced himself from the party.
Basheer’s entrance into the party is expected to strengthen its position in the Rajpora area, where he remains a prominent political figure.
Top Sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll that Basheer is expected to be the party’s candidate for the Rajpora constituency.
