Srinagar, Aug 14 (KS):- Two laborers lost their lives following a sand slide in the Gadhanchipora area of Bijbehera, Anantnag, on Wednesday.
The incident occurred during sand extraction when a group of individuals was caught in the slide.
Rescue operations were swiftly initiated, and those buried under the sand were retrieved and taken to a nearby hospital.
Despite efforts, two of the laborers succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
They have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Shaikh and Mohammad Altaf Khan.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation—(KS)
