Congratulates Athwas group for honouring Hufaaz-e-Kiraam

Srinagar:- In a compelling initiative marking World Disability Day, We the Kashmir Foundation- a well known Non Govermental organization has emerged as a beacon of hope for inclusivity and empowerment. The organization actively participated in various programs aimed at raising awareness and supporting individuals with disabilities.

We the Kashmir Foundation orchestrated a series of impactful events, including workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities.

We the Kashmir Foundation first participated in a program organised by Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) at Bemina and Later members joined a similar program at Abhinandan Home in Solina Srinagar where well known personalities were also present.

Through these programs, this well known organisation has sought to dismantle stereotypes and promote a more inclusive society.

The highlight of our efforts was a collaborative campaign with local communities and businesses to create accessible spaces. This included wheelchair ramps, tactile paths, and other infrastructural adjustments to enhance the overall accessibility of public areas.

The NGO’s commitment to inclusivity extended to education as well. They partnered with schools and educational institutions to implement special programs catering to students with disabilities, ensuring equal opportunities for learning and development.

Through these initiatives, We the Kashmir Foundation not only celebrated World Disability Day but also ignited a sustained conversation about the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities for everyone in society.

We want our dedication to serve as an inspiration for others to join the movement towards a more accessible and understanding world, the NGO members said.

Later, members the organization participated in a program organised by Athwas group of Humanity where some youth who had remembered part of Holy Quran and foods kits were distributed among deserving people.

The event, held at Mehjoor Nagar Srinagar brought together a diverse audience, fostering unity and understanding within the community.

The program, enriched with enlightening lectures, engaging discussions, resonated with attendees, creating a sense of shared purpose and connection.

Key speakers and scholars contributed their insights, contributing to the intellectual and spiritual growth of participants.

Athwas group of Humanity’s commitment to promoting cultural awareness and understanding through such events is commendable.

The success of this Islamic program serves as a testament to the organization’s unwavering dedication to fostering unity and strengthening the fabric of the community.
