Pulwama, 12 April: DDC member Dr. Harbakash Singh, representing the Tral block and serving as the spokesperson for the PDP, extended warm greetings to the people, especially the Sikh community, on the occasion of Baisakhi. Dr. Singh expressed his heartfelt wishes for peace and communal harmony during this festive season.
In his statement, Dr. Harbakash Singh emphasizes the importance of providing basic facilities to the people during this festival. He appealed to the administration to ensure that the necessary amenities are readily available, allowing everyone to celebrate Baisakhi with utmost comfort.
Baisakhi marks ‘the first day of the month of Vaisakh’ and is traditionally celebrated annually on 13 April and sometimes 14 April. The festival of Baisakhi is celebrated to mark the onset of spring in India.
